Saving tips for every girl...

It’s hard to get ahead sometimes so here are a few tips to help you reach your goals and save money:
If like me, you spend a fortune on your hair then think ahead…. (Excuse the pun).
·        Sign up to discount coupon websites like Grabone and Groupon where you can select an old hair deal and get them to email you similar offers. Always think you won’t get a booking straight away so facture in a 2 month timeframe and get your hair done at a fraction of the cost.
Love the glossies?
·        If you buy 3 fashion magazines a week then make this one and check on the free online fashion pages available. Or check out your mates place and borrow their magazines.
Mobile Plans
·        Check out your mobile plan and get a few quotes from other companies. It could be a huge cost savings in the end. Share the cheapest quote you get from another company and ask your current provider to match it or ditch it.
Book savings
·        Join a library. These days you can pre book what you want and just go and pick it up. Easy.
Gym
I invest in a cheap gym membership which gives me free yoga class, boxing and all sorts included for $45 a week otherwise I was paying for Yoga and the gym which was another unnecessary cost I didn’t need. Make sure it is a gym on your way home from work, free parking and great classes. The more you go, the more you save, and the more you stay away from shopping after work, meeting mates for expensive meals and make gym your priority.
Credit cards
·        If you are paying off a card (which most of us are)… make it a mission to leave the card at home and only take out enough cash you want to budget for. No card, no spend!
Pot luck
·        Have mates over for Pot luck, save money and get them to try some tasty new meals. Make it an idea to get everyone to cook for under $15 and share their recipes.
Get on your bike…
·        Walking is free and so is going for a bike ride for those that own one. Organize activities that cost nothing but petrol and start up your own hike club, beach walks or a bike ride by the beach with your fav BFF.
Planning a ski holiday this winter?
·        Get a bunch of mates together and book a house together. Keep it to $25 per person per night and car share. Organise crock pot meals and get everyone to put in to feed a large amount of people and make your own lunch for the slopes.
Be the sober driver
·        Get your mates to buy you non-alcoholic drinks for your services, be healthy and save on all those taxis and expensive drinks.
Detox
·        Eat healthy, don’t drink for one month, sleep lots and make the most of your fitness routine. Your wallet and body will love you. Ask your friends for support so they don’t bagger you to go out and spend all the time.
Shop smarter
·        Make a shopping list and stick to it. Try the cheaper well known supermarkets to cut down costs. Try a drive in the country one day with some friends and on the way stop at the cheap vege and fruit markets for some great deals.
Movie night
·        Get your mates round for a movie night. Everyone has to bring their favourite movie round and just pick a couple to watch that evening. Cheap and a good excuse for a gossip session.
Most importantly don’t cut everything out, just remember to cut down and think – do I really need this? If you are still tempted always visualise your goal ahead whether that be paying off your credit card, buying a house or a trip to Thailand and stay strong and determined.
Getting places is never easy and you have to accept that it will be uncomfortable but stick to it, and own that goal!
